George Zimmerman Tries To Stand His Ground Against His Wife

Here’s a headline we all saw coming:

George Zimmerman In Custody After Domestic Incident With Gun

Zimmerman’s wife filed for divorce last week, saying her husband,

… has a serious temper and was verbally abusive to her.

Details on this latest bit are still coming out. According to her attorney:

Her attorney told ABC News that George pulled a knife on her today after she discovered a firearm in the house they shared. He then pulled a gun on her and her father after a verbal altercation went bad, according to attorney Kelly Sims.

I’m sure the good folks at the Ohio-based Buckeye Firearms Foundation must be feeling real proud of themselves right about now.

Freedom, Constitution, Founding Fathers, yada yada.

  1. Not the recommended way of convincing the judge in your divorce case to take it easy on you.

Let’s hope that Geogieboy doesn’t get himself involved with a bunch of trappist monks on a rainy day.

  3. Update 6 at the news link. Wifey is not pressing charges. George is free to go.

  4. but but but…if the moron is threatening folks & waving weapons around (which equals a form of spousal abuse) can’t the state press charges? Please.

  5. And Shelli Zimmerman is accused of being a left-wing plant in 5… 4…. 3….

  6. Now that he has tasted the power of death, he is hungry for more. He is a strong man to be respected and obeyed.

Relationship tip: Never threaten your better half with a knife or brandish a gun in her presence. It kills the romance.

Yeah, and ya best learn to sleep with one eye open, also, too.

Can you say, “Bobbitectomy”, George? Sure ya can.

  7. I wonder what those members of the jury are thinking now.

  8. It turns out his wife was lying to the police, there was no gun, no threat while holding a knife, nothing at all.

The police are considering charges of false police report against her.

What I find strange is that Mr. Zimmerman is likely to be awarded millions of dollars via his several civil suits, so his wife is picking a bad time to get a divorce.
