Tennessee Gun Report

Your weekly round-up of gun news:

• November 4, 2103

In Memphis, a man in his pajamas started shooting at people at a gas station across the street from an elementary school.

• November 3, 2103

1- A Roane County man handling his .22 accidentally shot himself in the chest.

2- Another mentally unstable person gets their hands on a gun, starts shooting, this time in Convington, Tennessee. This story didn’t make the national news, for some reason. Guess we were too busy talking about the other mentally unstable people in bigger cities who got their hands on guns and started shooting at people.

Video shot by an eyewitness shows Natella Ruth Blackwell, 64, holding a gun by her right side. Covington and the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office said she had been shooting at cars and 18 wheelers before police and deputies arrived.

Officers say they told Blackwell to put down the gun, but she wouldn’t answer. Investigators say she had the gun at her side when she turned around. In the video you can see her pull up her arms as she turned. That’s when deputies and officers opened fire and shot her. Blackwell was taken to the hospital where she later died.

They’re calling this one “suicide by cop.” Though “suicide by cop” would be a lot less effective if cops would stop shooting and killing people. Just saying.

A loaded gun was found in a carry-on bag at the Knoxville airport.

I mentioned this in last week’s report but didn’t have a link: TSA agents found a loaded gun in a passenger’s carry on at the Nashville airport for the second day in a row.

  1. It’s getting to where “TSA discovers gun in carry-on at Nashville” is just another “Dog bites man” headline. If this:

“TSA agents found a loaded gun in a passenger’s carry on at the Nashville airport for the second day in a row.”

however, is referring to a gun being found in the same PASSENGER’S carry-on, two days in a row, THAT’S “Man bites dog”!

“This story didn’t make the national news, for some reason. Guess we were too busy talking about the other mentally unstable people in bigger cities who got their hands on guns and started shooting at people.”

Maybe the MSM* was too busy reporting on the mentally unstable people who were running for office in other cities and states–mostly as Teabaglicans–and extolling their patriotesticular virtue.

Isn’t “patriotesticular” redundent, since the root of patriot is the Latin “pater” for father (and you can’t have father, sans les balls)? The opposite gender equivalent would be “matriovarian”. Kind of like the sound of both of them! LOL

      • You and I might know all of that about “Pater”, they don’t, trust me on that. AND, if they get wind of it, it will sooner or later show up in their lexicon of manly KKKristiainist virtue.
