Congratulations, Taylor Ann Kelly Timothy Fisher of South Carolina! You Are Our 2nd Amendment Hero Du Jour

[UPDATE]:

Apparently Taylor Ann Kelly lied about who shot Blake Wardell. Apparently her boyfriend, Timothy Fisher, pulled the trigger.

—————————————–

And her boyfriend Blake Wardell is our Darwin Award winner:

Deputies have charged an 18-year-old South Carolina woman with the fatal shooting of a male friend who had donned a bulletproof vest and allegedly asked her to “shoot me,” according to local media.

The killing occurred Wednesday in Honea Path, S.C., after 25-year-old Blake Randall Wardell discovered the old vest in a garage where he had been hanging out with friends, WYFF-TV reports.

Anderson County deputy coroner Don McCown said Wardell asked Taylor Ann Kelly to “shoot me,” the TV station reports.

Kelly allegedly fired a small caliber weapon at Wardell, but the bullet went through the edge of the vest and into his heart, McCown said.

I blame Hollywood, violent video games, divorce, abortion, Obama, etc. Also, where were the parents, get a job, etc. And also, respect the culture:

Stupid kids. Meanwhile, also in South Carolina, a four-year-old found a gun at his grandparents’ house and shot himself in the head with it. But nobody knows where he got the gun from, it’s a big ol’ mystery.

Ah, South Carolina, actively thinning the gene pool to benefit the rest of the country.

Get taht fingert out of my ear! I know where that figer has been!

  3. On your link there’s a comment:

    “New hashtag? #consensual gunfail”

This sort of thing seems to be happening multiple times per week (or, some weeks, every day) in some states.

  4. The story linked to your update has a list of comments by gunzloonz that is predictably stupid.

BTW, why is it that none of your gunztrollz ever comment on threads like this? These were responsible kids; the gunz just went off by themselves.

    • Speaking of responsible kids, I just ran across this story:

“The 16-year-old reportedly walked out of the bathroom right into the muzzle as the gun was being placed into a gun bag, according to Mark Self.

“The teens involved in the incident are shotgun competitors and were on their way to a competition.

“Veronica Morales says both families are hurting and called what happened to Mikey “a tragic accident.”

Hmm, seems like making sure your gun is unloaded before packing it in a bag is the first step in putting such “tragic accidents” to an end.

SB, don’t know if it’s on purpose, but, ‘good news’ was sent out, this was only online.

So is this one of those millions of times per year that the NRA says that a good gun prevents a crime – namely Blake Wardell reproducing?

  7. Southern Beale:

My apologies if I already posted this but:

these are the sort of guys that the NRA tends not to talk about.

    • Phantom 309

Are we sure Ol’ Tex didn’t shoot hisself in the haid earlier? Cuz he shore is one dumb SOB.

      • At about 1:20 or so in he thanks James Yeager, the “tactical training” jeenyus who offered that he would start shooting people if they didn’t stop comin’ for his gunz. Not that he had any credibility in the first place but saying Yeager is a close personal friend is possibly even dumber than shooting himself.

Apparently now it turns out that the girl was taking the blame for her boyfriend, who actually fired the fatal shot. Yeesh. That’s love or…something.

    • Right, my first thought was that she is the true Darwin Award winner, taking the blame for her boyfriend? WHO DOES THAT??? Unless it’s someone hopelessly screwed up in the head? In which case … gunzzzzz….. ???

The one good thing about all the gun rights loonz is that just maybe they will kill us all and themselves before our continuing insistence on screwing up earth’s atmosphere makes the planet completely uninhabitable.

    • If them killing themselves, and only themselves, is something that had a high degree of reliability, I’d say, “Git ‘er done!”.

Unfortunately, the idiots tend to kill people other than themselves.

  10. There’s really no way to talk to these people anymore. You can point out mass shooting statistics ’til you turn blue, and they just roll their eyes and tell you “Guns don’t kill people, People kill people” etc. I’ve gotten so frustrated that I’ve been tempted to purchase a gun just to take out some of those who think they’re great to have around! Seriously, we’ve gone ’round the bend in America. Australia had one horrible mass shooting, banned the weapons, and they haven’t had another since. But there are mass shootings every week in America, and dozens of tragic “accidents” every day. Does it take the death of someone we love before we THINK about gun control and actually do something about it?
