Failed Connecticut Republican candidate for U.S. Senate Linda McMahon has some very angry ex-staffers. Seems McMahon. the pro wrestling magnate, has not paid her campaign workers. Let’s just say hilarity did not ensue when one affected staff member took his plight to the local media:
Twaine Don Gomes was one of the people who first complained to News 8. He was handed a check, but he says, the campaign told him they were mad that he came to News 8, so he got a little something extra in his envelope.
“Basically he handed me a check with a condom in it, told me I was screwed,” Gomes said. “That’s the rudest gesture you can ever do to a person, it’s like spitting in a person’s face.”
His check bounced as well. The workers say, this was the last thing they were expecting after spending hours in the cold, working hard for their candidate on election day.
Well, Twaine Don Gomes, Evette Brown and the rest: this is what happens when you work for Republicans. Credit cards cancelled in the middle of the night, before you’ve checked out of your hotel or made your way home. Bounced checks. It’s all about the Benjamins, as in, the currency, not actual people named Benjamin of course. This is fiscal conservatism at play. Screw the people. And hey, here’s a condom. Which is more than some people received.

Earlier today, my kids told me to go stuff it, so I am off to the kitchen now with 2 boxes of Stove Top.
I am now the center of gravity for my family – the one around whom everyone congregates (and sometimes aggravates) – so tomorrow I will be flinging the bird (sliced turkey) to everyone.
If a very large bird appears at your window on Thanksgiving Day, have no fear. Its probably a peeping tom. Happy Thanksgiving.

That’s what happens when people work solely for the money. I was an Obama volunteer ( with my sister ) from California who worked in Nevada, ( no ground game in California… we’re true blue here ) . We used our own money for everything, including our hotel accomodations, gasoline, etc.
Well, in the spirit of rugged individualism and so on, that campaign worker should file charges for theft by fraud against Mrs. Vinnie and then, perhaps, hilarity WILL ensue.
This, btw, is not what happens when you work for today’s republicans who are losers. It’s what happens when you work for today’s republicans.
Why do you hate America democommie? Screwing over people is the American dream. Like fracking and Walmart.
I’m from Connecticut, and I’d like to say that I’ve loathed Linda McMahon (in matters political and personable) before any of the regulars here had even heard of her.
Note that nobody is saying this behavior is out of character for her.
